Home Owner Maintenance Tip
We enjoy trying to make sure that your home stays your most valuable asset. One of the best ways we know to help, is to pass along some simple maintenance tips that most people don’t know could save thousands of dollars. Crawl Spaces If you have a crawlspace you should inspect it at least twice a year. This is to check for the accumulation of moisture on the floor or condensation on structural material. Ventilation in a crawl space is very important. You should check the crawlspace on very hot or cold days and if there is water accumulation, this may be a sign that more ventilation is needed. Asbestos is frequently detected around boiler lines. If the lines are in good condition the asbestos can be covered with tightly sealed plastic to keep the fibers from entering the atmoshpere. Never try to remove asbestos yourself, instead call a specialist.
